Surf Film Festival ‘Shorties’ Comp

Sponsored by National Trust, the ‘Shorties’ short film competition at the Surf Film Festival is open for all homegrown creatives to showcase their talent. While the main festival is open to all entries, the Shorties is open exclusively to surf filmmakers from or based in Britain and Ireland.

“The Shorties is about celebrating the short and supporting the wealth of surf filmmaking talent that is coming from our shores,” says Festival Director Chris Nelson. Entries are open to films of up to 5 mins in length that explore all angles of surfing and surf culture through documentary, stop-motion or anything in between. In this competition, it’s not about whether your waves are big or small, it’s about the way you choose to shoot them. Or don’t. After all there’s more than one way to tell a surf story. Entries close August 26th.
