Skateistan is Afghanistan’s – and the world’s – first co-educational skateboarding school. Operating as an independent, neutral, Afghan NGO, the school engages growing numbers of urban and internally displaced youth in Afghanistan through skateboarding, and provides them with new opportunities in cross-cultural interaction, education, and personal empowerment, with a focus on teaching girls to skate. Skateistan’s first book - The Tale of Skateboarding in Afghanistan has now been published in the UK and will be celebrated with an event at TCOLondon on the 26th July.
Fallen have collaborated with Skateistan on a range of apparel featuring the “broken gun” logo which appears across and the Skateistan t-shirt and cap range. With a percentage of the sales going directly to the Skateistan charity.
