After a closely fought race for points between Ashley Fiolek, Jessica Patterson and Tarah Gieger, Ashley Fiolek slipped into the lead this weekend and walked away with the 2012 WMA Motocross Championship title at Lake Elsinore. Whilst Chiara Fontanesi won the race the weekend’s race, Ashley’s third place finish gave her the points she needed to pip Gieger and Patterson to the post.
It’s the fourth such title for Honda rider Ashley, who adds the win to her haul or medals and accolades which include two X Games supercross golds.
